Job Description Summary
GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) is seeking an engineering, science, or business student for a full-time Nuclear Licensing Internship in Wilmington, North Carolina, from May through August 2027. The intern will support licensing activities for the existing U.S. boiling water reactor (BWR) fleet while gaining practical experience with nuclear regulatory requirements, licensing processes, and advanced nuclear technology.

What you'd do
- Develop strategic plans to implement the next wave of power uprates for the world-wide installed base of boiling water reactor nuclear plants.
- Review, interpret, and implement, such in procedures and processes, new nuclear regulations and guidance.
- Gain familiarity, and look for opportunities to improve, GVH’s nuclear licensing methodologies.What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Law, or a similar degree
- 40 hours availability per week
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro
- 3.0 GPA and higher
