What you'd do
- Execute structural analysis via hand calculations, 2D and 3D finite element modeling, using the latest P&W Engineering Standard Work, analytical tools, and engineering judgement.
- Perform structural analysis and provide analytical support through all design phases and provide support to manufacturing and operational services.
- Use finite element and classical methods for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, residual life (fracture mechanics) prediction, damage tolerance, containment, kinematic and optimization analyses.
- Support production and in-service field investigations.
- Document analysis and present results and associated recommendation to integrated product teams, management, and customers.
- Participate on multi-discipline integrated product teams as the structures focal, providing design solutions that balance customer requirements for performance, cost, schedule, and other requirements.
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
