Co-op, Quality Engineering: January-June (Onsite) Position Overview:
Position Dates: January 11, 2027 – June 30, 2027
The Quality Engineering Process Improvement Co-op will support the Quality Engineering Services team in driving operational excellence, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality operations.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation of scalable solutions.
The co-op will contribute to projects focused on efficiency, quality system effectiveness, data analysis, and process optimization while gaining hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing and quality systems.
What you'd do
- Analyze quality and operational process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement projects focused on quality engineering processes, manufacturing quality systems, and operational efficiency.
- Develop process maps, value stream maps, standard work documentation, and visual management tools to support process standardization efforts.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional partners to gather requirements and assess process improvement opportunities.
- Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate project progress.
- Conduct root cause analysis and assist with identifying corrective and preventive actions for process-related challenges.
- Support process excellence initiatives by participating in Kaizen events, process observations, workshops, and project team meetings.
- Document project findings, recommendations, and implementation plans while ensuring alignment with quality system requirements.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum sophomore standing at an accredited college or university.
