What you'd do
- Dedicate majority of time (60%-80%) on the shop floor (Gemba) in assigned process path(s)
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities
- Utilize lean techniques to standardize and simplify processes, ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Learn/Utilize lean tools & techniques such as standardization, problem solving, people engagement, leadership soft-skills, one-piece flow, Kanban/pull systems, continuous improvement, value stream mapping, visual management, error proofing, 5S, training, etc.
- Measure key performance indicators before and after implementation to evaluate the success of process improvements
- Engage with team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of the process(es) involved and actively listen to their needs and feedback
- Support the change management procedure by effectively communicating with stakeholders and addressing any concerns or challenges that arise
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related discipline, preferably Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/etc.), Supply Chain or related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree student – Junior or Sophomore
- Strong interest in process improvement and lean methodologies
