- Contribute to Software Requirements, Design, Code, and Verification of the cockpit display system’s graphics server.
- Understand Collins Aerospace processes related to software development and verification and apply them to current projects.
- Work with desktop computer in an office environment and with target hardware in an engineering lab to achieve the goal of delivering a high-quality software product within schedule and cost constraints
- Identify the root cause of moderate to complex software issues using appropriate debug and analysis tools.
- Clearly summarize encountered technical software issues to project leadership in a timely fashion.
- Work together in a collaborative team that is part of multi large systems
- Full life cycle development of DO-178 DAL A certified software
What they want
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Demonstrated interest in embedded software solutions and board-level device drivers
- Programming experience in C, C++ and/or Python
- Comfortable with real-time operating system and object-oriented programming concepts
- Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle
- Energetic and proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal and communications skills
