What you'd do
- Support high-impact audit engagements that evaluate key business processes, risks, controls, and strategic initiatives across Freddie Mac.
- Utilize data analytics, AI tools, and automation techniques to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with audit professionals across multiple disciplines, including business, technology, quantitative risk, and operational audit teams.
- Develop an understanding of data-rich business environments and how technology supports risk management and governance.
- Contribute to the development of recommendations and insights that can be presented to management and stakeholders.
- Participate in efforts to automate audit activities and enhance existing audit processes. Approximately 70% of the role's future focus is expected to involve automation and technology-enabled auditing.
- Build relationships across the organization while learning about key business functions, associated risks, and internal controls.
- Engage in continuous learning related to emerging technologies, AI applications, and data analytics within the audit profession.

- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 – May 2028.
- Interest in data analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, risk management, or auditing.
- Experience with or exposure to data analysis tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or similar technologies is preferred.
