Company Overview:
Beam Therapeutics is a biotechnology company committed to establishing the leading, fully integrated platform for precision genetic medicines. To achieve this vision, Beam has assembled a platform with integrated gene editing, delivery and internal manufacturing capabilities. Beam’s suite of gene editing technologies is anchored by base editing, a proprietary technology that is designed to enable precise, predictable and efficient single base changes, at targeted genomic sequences, without making double-stranded breaks in the DNA. This has the potential to enable a wide range of therapeutic editing strategies that Beam is using to advance a diversified portfolio of base editing programs.
What you'd do
- Support the development, optimization, and scale-up of targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) manufacturing processes.
- Conduct formulation and process development studies involving LNP mixing, filtration, and tangential flow filtration (TFF) to evaluate and understand key product quality attributes.
- Execute laboratory experiments to assess process performance and characterize the impact of critical process parameters on LNP quality, stability, and manufacturability.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives through experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting of formulation and manufacturing challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across LNP Development, Analytical Development, and Process Optimization to advance project objectives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of experimental activities, analyze results, and present to the project team.
- Follow all laboratory safety policies and procedures while supporting routine laboratory operations.
