The Opportunity:
As a WaveLogic Software Intern, gain hands-on experience contributing to next-generation optical networking technologies. Work with experienced teams to help develop, validate, and improve software capabilities that support network solutions.
What you'd do
- Develop understanding and expertise in next-generation network solutions using optical transport and switching technologies such as OTN and Ethernet.
- Develop embedded software skills to design, develop, validate, and document advanced networking features and capabilities deployed in service provider networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reported embedded software issues by identifying root causes, diagnosing defects, debugging, and delivering fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test next-generation modem technologies.
- Education: Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
- C, C++ programming language experience
- Good knowledge of embedded systems, device drivers (e.g., GPIO, I2C drivers), Linux/RTOS operating system knowledge, mutual exclusion, synchronization, interrupt handling, inter-process communication, memory management, etc.
- Positive work attitude, highly motivated, with the ability to seek out answers and learn independently
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills
