What you'd do
- Hands-on experience contributing to real software products and engineering initiatives.
- Exposure to the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design through development, testing, and delivery.
- Experience working with modern programming languages, frameworks, cloud technologies, development tools, and engineering practices.
- Opportunities to strengthen your skills in software design, test automation, debugging, performance, problem-solving, code quality, and technical communication.
- Experience working in an Agile, collaborative engineering environment.
- Exposure to how Software Engineering partners with Product, Design, Data, Quality, and other functions to build reliable, scalable solutions.
- Mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers and technology professionals.
- A better understanding of potential career paths across Software Engineering, Full-Stack Development, Backend Engineering, Cloud and Platform Engineering, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, Performance Engineering, and related technology fields.
What they want
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of core computer science and software engineering concepts such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or another modern language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to work through unfamiliar technical challenges.
- Familiarity with version control concepts and tools such as Git.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Curiosity about technology and a willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, tools, and development practices.
- Ability to adapt, ask questions, take feedback, and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented engineering environment.
- Coursework or project experience in software development, web development, cloud computing, databases, APIs, distributed systems, or software testing.
- Experience with languages or frameworks such as C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Vue, Java, or Python.
