The CW Provider Disputes Support Specialist Intern will provide support for the intake, tracking, assignment, and distribution of provider dispute cases and related correspondence.

What you'd do
- Assist in the coordination of intake, assignment, prioritization, and tracking of provider dispute cases, correspondence, and related documentation.
- Support the Provider Disputes team to help maintain accurate records of incoming cases, referrals, and communications to support timely resolution and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the distribution of provider disputes, appeals, correspondence, and other case materials to appropriate departments and staff for review and action.
- Assist management with reporting, administrative tasks, case monitoring, and follow-up activities to support department operations.
- Navigate multiple healthcare systems, including claims and authorization platforms, to research and support the processing of provider disputes and appeals.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Provider Services, Member Services, Utilization Management, Correspondence, and Legal to facilitate case resolution and ensure accurate communication with providers.
- Degree program(s) / Current Status: Currently pursuing an Associate Degree or specialized technical school education in Medical Billing and Coding or a related field.
- Cumulative GPA: 3.0+ GPA preferred; minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
