What you'd do
- Continuous Improvement Projects: Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- This includes participating in cost improvement projects and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain processes.
- Inventory and Operations Management: Help track critical supply inventory levels and monitor operational metrics.
- The intern will gain exposure to inventory management on a site, regional, and global scale, providing valuable insights into the complexities of pharmaceutical distribution.
- Systems Experience: Gain hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- The candidate will learn how to leverage these tools to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple departments and business partners, including Quality Assurance, Transportation, and Safety, to understand the full scope of distribution operations and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Operational Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of the movement of people, processes, and products throughout the distribution center.
- This involves monitoring current workflows, identifying inefficiencies or gaps, and developing actionable recommendations for process improvements.
- Volume and Impact Assessment: Utilize the Warehouse Management System to evaluate the impact of distribution activities at both macro and micro levels, providing valuable data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
