JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Sustain Penn State is looking to hire a Penn State student intern who will work for at least the remainder of the 2026-2027 academic year. This student will assist with the coordination of the Undergraduate Mentor Leadership Training Program (UMLTP), which supports Penn State undergraduate students through leadership development, culturally responsive mentorship training, and community building. The intern will assist with mentor recruitment and engagement, workshop and Reflection Circle planning, program communication, and other duties as needed.

- Be a team player, with strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
- Be a quick learner, able to manage and organize multiple sources of information
- Have a record of interest in or knowledge about sustainability, environmental science, youth education, and/or community engagement
- Help recruit undergraduate mentors and conduct outreach with interested organizations on the University Park campus
- Assist with tracking mentor participation, attendance, feedback, and progress throughout the program
- Be able to work independently while also contributing ideas and engaging with the EnvironMentors team; and
- All other duties as assigned.
