What they want
- You have a strong knowledge of securities, financial markets, and valuation techniques (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, spread pricing, etc.).
- You have general knowledge of mutual funds, the investment management industry and/or GAAP experience.
- You have a good understanding of the various methodologies used to price exchange traded securities, OTC instruments, including fixed income and derivative instruments.
- You have experience interacting and managing relationships with vendors (pricing vendor experience would be a plus), including performing due diligence.
- You have experience performing daily validation of third-party vendor prices.
- You have strong and growing analytical and problem-solving capabilities; are able to analyze company financial statements, assess company, industry or market news and its impact on fair value.
- You bring exceptional quality and attention to detail to work deliverables. Your professional experience has included times when you’ve delivered constructive feedback to team members, verbally and in writing.
- You enjoy mentoring people, dissecting processes and completing projects. You are a role model who others look to for guidance.
- You work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines in a very time sensitive environment.
- You have the ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) complex ideas, processes, and situations to various audiences including, senior business leaders, investment analysts, portfolio managers, and oversight committees.
