Position Overview:
We are seeking a Trade Compliance Intern to support the Mercury Marine team.
What you'd do
- Review import documents for completeness and accuracy under guidance from senior staff.
- Help organize, store, and maintain import records and compliance files.
- Support data entry into compliance databases and tracking systems.
- Assist with basic product classification using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Conduct preliminary research on trade regulations, customs rulings, and free trade agreements.
- Monitor regulatory updates and summarize key changes for the team.
- Support internal audits by gathering documentation and preparing checklists.
- Participate in duty recovery, tariff mitigation, or process improvement initiatives.
- Help compile reports, metrics, and dashboards for management.
- Work with internal teams (procurement, logistics, engineering) to gather needed import data.
