Program Summary
The National Science Foundation (NSF) manages the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). The USAP supports all U.S. scientific research and related logistics in Antarctica and aboard USAP vessels that operate along the continental margin and in the Southern Ocean. Science within the Antarctic research portfolio is chosen and funded by NSF and other Federal agencies, including NASA, NOAA, and the Department of Energy.
What you'd do
- Provide administrative support for transportation and logistics transition activities and gateway workstreams.
- Maintain schedules, action-item tracking, and document control processes.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and capture meeting notes and follow-up actions.
- Support reporting and communication activities across multiple time zones and stakeholder groups.
- Ensure transition documentation is accurate, current, and properly maintained.
- Assist with tracking milestones, deliverables, and transition progress.
What they want
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years of administrative, project coordination, logistics, or operational support experience.
- Experience managing schedules, documentation, and action-item tracking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones.
