What you'd do
- Development of antenna or radome hardware and requirements.
- Working with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc.
- Working with antenna manufacturing suppliers.
- Antenna modeling and simulation execution on workstations and high performance computing resources (HPC).
- Analyzing simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements.
What they want
- Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session .
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
- Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and/or GRASP
- Experience and/or coursework with one or more of the following: Communication theory, microwave theory, and/or electromagnetic and wave theory
- Class projects, professional internships, or academic research demonstrating the ability to apply technical coursework.
- Model generation and simulation experience with conformal antennas (to include experience or relevant course work).
- Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages
- Self-motivated problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
