What you'd do
- Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, what-if scenario analysis
- Drive factory improvement project priorities through the use of analytical tools.
- Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology.
- Identify and participate in improvement projects to support constraint elimination
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Principles to include the use of value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing
- Support manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, on time delivery and safety
- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance
- Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
- This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas.
- Clearance Information: This position requires security clearance.
- DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

What they want
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering/Technology, Systems Engineering, or closely related engineering major and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session.
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- Experience with Industrial Engineering processes and tools
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Degree focus in Industrial or Systems Engineering
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
- Experience in a Defense Manufacturing environment
- Experience practicing organizational, collaborative and communication skills
- Experience/Education in continuous improvement processes such as the RTX CORE Operating System, Six Sigma and/or Lean Methodologies
