Position Summary:
The Platform Engineering Intern gains hands-on experience with the platforms and DevOps toolchain (ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub) that support GreatAmerica's technology operations, working alongside experienced engineers on maintenance, monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate has an interest in cloud technologies, infrastructure, and automation, and in the reliable operation of enterprise technology platforms.
What you'd do
- Collaborate with platform engineers to support the configuration, maintenance, and improvement of GreatAmerica's core enterprise platforms.
- Assist with automation and CI/CD pipeline exposure (Azure DevOps, GitHub) and help troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
- Write SQL queries and assist in optimizing database interactions in support of platform data and reporting needs.
- Document technical processes, configuration standards, and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
