Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 by JB Straubel, co-founder and former CTO of Tesla, on a simple but radical idea: the critical minerals powering the energy transition already exist. They just need to come back. Today Redwood is the largest lithium-ion battery recycler in North America — recovering, refining, and redeploying critical minerals from end-of-life batteries back into the supply chain. On the energy side, Redwood has deployed the largest second-life battery project in the world, delivering power to AI data centers in months rather than years using proprietary energy architecture engineered entirely in-house.
What you'd do
- Foster a culture of safety compliance, with a focus on the use of production and operational equipment.
- Operate and train on material processing and manufacturing equipment such as material conveyance, shredding and milling, and material screening and separating.
- Pick and load inventory needed for production areas.
- Maintain data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System and create reports to support management decision making.
- Establish and model quality control mechanisms.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Support the internal flow of material to support production requirements.
- Receive inbound shipments from suppliers of raw materials, maintenance parts, and engineering equipment.
- Participate in physical inventory audits, cycle counts, etc. to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow material flow strategies to improve operational efficiency.
