The Corporate Accounting Intern will serve as a valued member of the corporate accounting team. The position will be responsible for various financial and consolidation tasks involving month-end close, internal and external reporting and master data support. The position will also assist with various projects necessary to support ongoing business initiatives, as needed. The candidate will have exposure to many levels and functions within the organization.
What you'd do
- Provide daily subsidiary financial submission updates to help ensure submissions are complete and accurate
- Compile and communicate the subsidiary monthly close scorecard
- Assist with mapping new subsidiary trial balance accounts into consolidation structure
- Prepare monthly consolidation elimination journal entries, and post corporate accounting ledgers
- Participate in monthly subsidiary financial statement reviews and related team meetings
- Assist with 10-Q and 10-K SEC filing processes, as needed
- Assist with the tracking and review of inventory count procedures across the subsidiaries
- Assist with preparation of statutory reports and related audit requests
- BEA (Bureau of Economic Analysis) Reporting – complete forms for the BEA department with applicable financial data
- Assist with the financial integration of newly acquired companies
