What you'd do
- Prepare and recommend high-quality credit submissions relating to new business proposals, annual reviews, interim reviews, and transaction approvals for clients primarily operating across the commodities value chain, including energy, base and precious metals, and carbon markets.
- Analyze and structure a broad range of trading related products, including derivative and financing facilities.
- Assess and support transactions involving physical commodity supply chains, including inventory financing, storage arrangements, leasing structures, and other structured commodity finance solutions.
- Conduct detailed company, industry, and market analysis, and formulate well-supported credit and borrower risk rating recommendations.
- Liaise closely with Commodities Sales & Trading, Credit Risk Management, and other stakeholders to support transaction structuring, business development initiatives, and strategic growth objectives.
- Liaise with internal Legal and Documentation teams to assist in structuring and documenting credit facilities and transaction-related agreements.
- Ongoing monitoring of counterparty performance and credit exposures, including compliance with authorized credit limits and terms, conditions, and reporting requirements
- Identify emerging credit, market, operational, and reputational risks and recommend appropriate mitigating actions.
- Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
- Reviews and investigates trading excesses. Prepares daily excess reports and/or inventory reports
