What you'd do
- Work on industrial safety improvement items - shaft guards for rotating machinery, platforms, and other industrial safety engineering requests.
- Work on site engineering document change backlog
- Improve upon reporting tools used by site engineers and integration of AI tools into design engineering activities.
- Support early screening of outage modifications.
- Engage in site troubleshooting and decision-making efforts by researching operating experience
- Research replacements for obsolete equipment
- Update site calculations.
- Update lifecycle management documents
- Endeavor software implementation.
What they want
- Current student, Sophomore or higher
- Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering.
- Occasional travel to meet with engineers & interns at downtown facilities, and sister plant (Prairie Island)
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.
