We're looking for a detail-oriented and innovative Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our engineering team in Fort Lauderdale, United States. In this role, you will support the design and sustainability of mechanical components and systems while gaining hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to projects from concept through prototyping, developing your technical skills and understanding of mechanical design principles.
What you'd do
Assist in creating and modifying CAD models and technical drawings using industry-standard software
Support the analysis and optimization of mechanical components and assemblies
Conduct research on design alternatives and manufacturing processes to support engineering decisions
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve designs
Bill Of Material development and maintaining.
Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and assembly instructions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot design challenges and identify solutions
Support prototyping efforts and contribute to testing and evaluation activities
Maintain organized project files and documentation in accordance with company standards
Communicate findings and progress updates to senior engineering staff

Proficiency in CAD software such as Siemens NX, or equivalent platforms
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and design principles
Perform engineering calculations, tolerance calculations and reporting
Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications
Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or simulation software
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties
Experience with 3D modeling and visualization techniques
